The standards portfolio coordinates the process of developing treatment guidelines/ protocols. This portfolio aims to enable therapists to improve their standard of practice by increasing their control over it, through raising awareness of, and making available relevant and applicable norms for various aspects of occupational therapy service delivery and to foster evidence-based, occupation-based, client-centered ethical practice.


Arnae Bekker

Secretary
Manages the correspondence of the NAOT. The secretary takes minutes at every EXCO/NAOT meeting; compiles and sends out the minutes. She manages incoming and outgoing correspondence between the NAOT and the members, as well as members of the public. The secretary compiles newsletters throughout the year and distributes these to the NAOT members.

Tessa Beckker

Promotions Coordinator Representative  Responsible for the exchange of information or services among occupational therapists, other professional groups or institutions. The aim is a productive relationship among the professionals and among the members of the community. Is responsible for coordination of all promotional activities of the NAOT and actively seeking new opportunities to promote and increase awareness about the occupational therapy profession.
